TapSync ("we", "our", or "the app") is a timing and rhythm game for Android developed by Ashwin S Ashok. This privacy policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Information We Collect

Game Data

TapSync stores your game progress, scores, statistics, and preferences. This data is:

• Stored locally on your device only
• Never transmitted to our servers
• Fully under your control — uninstalling the app removes all local data

Advertising

TapSync displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, including:

• Advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID)
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
• General location (derived from IP address, not precise GPS)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device's Google settings under Settings > Google > Ads.

Purchase Information

TapSync offers optional in-app purchases (remove ads, tip jar) through Google Play Billing. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details such as credit card numbers or billing addresses.

Google Play Games Services

If you sign in to Google Play Games, the app may access:

• Your Play Games player ID and display name
• Leaderboard scores and achievements

This data is managed by Google Play Games Services in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Signing in to Play Games is optional and the app functions fully without it.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

The app uses Firebase services to improve reliability and understand usage:

• Crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics — stack traces, device model, OS version, and app state at the time of a crash
• Usage analytics via Firebase Analytics — anonymized, aggregate usage patterns such as which features are used and session duration

This data is processed by Google Firebase in accordance with Google's privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is intentionally collected through analytics.

Information We Do Not Collect

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Precise location data (GPS)
• Contacts, photos, or files
• Browsing history
• Microphone or camera data

Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob — for displaying advertisements (Google Privacy Policy)
• Google Play Billing — for processing in-app purchases (Google Privacy Policy)
• Google Play Games Services — for leaderboards and achievements (Google Privacy Policy)
• Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics — for crash reporting and anonymized usage analytics (Firebase Privacy)

Data Storage and Security

All game data (scores, progress, preferences) is stored locally on your device. No account creation is required to use the app. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Third-party services listed above may store data on their own servers as described in their respective privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

TapSync is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app displays ads that are subject to Google's ad policies; if you believe a child under 13 is using the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Choices

• Opt out of personalized ads: Go to your device's Settings > Google > Ads and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
• Remove ads: Purchase the "Remove Ads" option within the app
• Play Games sign-in: Signing in is optional; you can disconnect in Settings > Google > Play Games
• Opt out of analytics: You can disable analytics collection in your device's Google settings
• Uninstall: Removing the app deletes all locally stored data

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
