TapSync ("we", "our", or "the app") is a timing and rhythm game for Android developed by Ashwin S Ashok. TapSync is intended for adults aged 18 and older. This privacy policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.
The adult-only access and advertising controls described below apply to the updated TapSync release that includes the age-selection screen. Older installed versions may not include these controls. Please update the app when the release becomes available.
TapSync stores game progress, scores, statistics, purchase-entitlement status, and preferences on your device. Android may back up these preferences or transfer them to another device according to your device settings. Your selected age group is excluded from these backups and transfers.
We do not operate our own game-data server. Scores and achievements may be sent to Google Play Games when you are signed in, and the services described below process their own data.
TapSync asks for an age group before requesting ads. The choice is stored on this device and excluded from app backup; no date of birth is requested. You can update it in Settings > Age preferences.
Users selecting under 18 or “Prefer not to say” cannot access gameplay in the updated release, and the app does not request ads for them. The updated release does not display banner ads. Users selecting 18 or older may receive G-rated Google AdMob rewarded and interstitial ads after the applicable privacy checks. AdMob may process device information, IP address and ad interactions to deliver and measure ads. The app does not request the Google Advertising ID permission. Where required, privacy choices are collected through Google's consent form and can be revisited in Settings > Ad privacy choices.
TapSync offers optional in-app purchases (tip jar and, for eligible adult users where offered, remove ads) through Google Play Billing. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details such as credit card numbers or billing addresses.

This data is managed by Google Play Games Services in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Core gameplay does not require Play Games sign-in. In the updated release, Play Games is initialized only when a user who selected 18 or older chooses a Play Games feature. The app blocks its Play Games calls for under-18 and unknown-age users. You can manage your Play Games account and records through Google Play Games settings.
The updated release does not include Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics. It does not send app usage analytics or crash reports through those services. Older releases included these services; data previously processed by Google remains subject to Firebase's privacy and retention practices.

Local progress and preferences remain until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it. Android backups may restore eligible data after reinstalling. Clearing local storage or uninstalling does not automatically delete backup copies, Google Play Games records, purchases, or data already processed by other services.
Google processes and retains service data according to the linked policies and the applicable service settings. You can manage Android backups and Google Play Games data through the corresponding Google or device settings. The updated release uses a self-declared age group to restrict gameplay and advertising access to users selecting 18 or older. The age screen is not identity or age verification. An age group is stored locally; it is not sent as an analytics event. The updated release does not include Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics and blocks app-initiated Play Games features for users under 18 or whose age is unknown. Parents or guardians can contact us with questions about a child's use of the app or associated data.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent for material changes.
